Este projeto nasce da necessidade de condenar a crescente perda da individualidade na sociedade contemporânea. O seu título é uma evidente referência à obra "1984", de George Orwell, na qual é provado que a premissa 2+2=5 pode ser reconhecida como verdadeira. É, assim, uma analogia para a opressão individual e controlo da realidade. Um perfeito exemplo onde o conceito “Mente sobre a matéria” é levado ao seu expoente negativo. Onde a manipulação e a massificação estão cada vez mais presentes. Onde o Homem é, na realidade, apenas um objeto com o seu propósito predefinido. A nova definição de “Ser Humano” será, então, a de um subordinado, um adereço, uma peça de mobília.

This project stems from the need to condemn the growing loss of individuality the contemporary society. Its title is an obvious reference to George Orwell's "1984", in which it is proved that the premise 2+2=5 can be recognized as true. It is thus an analogy for individual oppression and control of reality. A perfect example where the concept "Mind over matter" is taken to its negative exponent. Where manipulation and massification are increasingly present. Where Man is, in fact, just an object with its predefined purpose. The new definition of "Being Human" will then be that of a subordinate, a prop, a piece of furniture.
